How do I get my parents/family Support?

Long Story short- Dating for 2 years and have been engaged 10 months! Since he is Military he got stationed in Alaska during early dating and I still live in Georgia. Family does NOT approve. Thinks it is all too fast...my parents are very old school. I love him and am ready to start a family. Any ideas on how to get there approval? Im ready to be married to this man and i want to be able to actually be together except for short amounts of time due to distance. I'm 22 so young, but not TOO TOO young. Nothings ever felt more right than loving him. please help. Im close with my family and want this to be a joyous occasion. I cant just say screw you family im doing what i want....but it seems i may just have to do that :[
